The article substantiates the development of poultry meat production in conditions of necessity to stimulate economic growth. It is stated that agriculture is crucial for the economy of Ukraine because it ensures food security of our country and many other countries which import our agrarian products. The importance of meat production for the economy is well-grounded and the dependence of consumption of meat products on the level of disposable incomes of people is analyzed via constructing econometric model to obtain clear figures. Meat production appears to be growing in its volumes when welfare of people grows. However, in the structure of meat production, poultry meat production is the most effective in economic measures because of its special characteristics. It is shown in the article that well-developed countries, i.e. the EU countries and the USA have been actively developing the poultry meat production as an important component of the overall domestic production. Obviously, this fact calls for stimulation of the poultry meat production in Ukraine, but due to the peculiarities of organization of the production process in the sphere it is possible only in case of continuing innovation activity of the poultry meat producers, i.e. involving of investments in innovations on the regular basis. In this connection investment behavior in the poultry meat production is usually innovations oriented and often under influence of socio-psychological factors.
