Meningiomas are frequently encountered primary brain tumors. Surgery can be curative but there is risk for recurrence. In addition, certain tumor localizations can make surgery challenging or impossible. Radiotherapy is meaningful for certain cases, but still recurrences occur. Peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) is a promising treatment for treatment refractory/ unresectable meningioma. An intra-arterial approach for administering PRRT to obtain high tumor dosages is feasible, without additional toxicity. Here we present a case of a patient with progressive recurrence of a meningioma, treated with intra-arterial PRRT.
