[18F]FDG PET imaging is an established imaging modality in the presurgical evaluation of epilepsy and [18F]FDG PET imaging in ictal phase, although rarely obtained, can provide high quality images of the seizure onset zone and its functional network. We describe a case of Rasmussen encephalitis in which ictal [18F]FDG PET allowed depicting the functional activity associated with continuous focal seizures and surgical planning.
