This field extends beyond traditional banking by leveraging third-party permissioned data-sharing principles to include areas such as insurance, pensions, and investments. A transdisciplinary curriculum in Open Finance can provide computer scientists with both technical and contextual skills. Key areas of focus include data management, API development, machine learning, and data privacy. By aligning educational content with industry needs and technological advancements, our insights underscore how academia can collaborate with industry to prepare graduates for the future. In adopting it, universities can drive innovation and influence the evolving FinTech ecosystem.
