This study addresses the impact of digital media on cultural identity and the phenomenon of cultural invasion in light of rapid technological developments and the spread of the Internet and social media. The study aims to analyze how digital media influences the formation of the identities of individuals and societies, as well as the relationship between local culture and external influences that may lead to cultural invasion. A descriptive analytical approach was used based on analyzing previous literature and scientific articles related to digital media and cultural globalization. Opinion polls were also conducted on a group of young people to determine the impact of digital media on their cultural orientations. The current study showed the content of new media and how the methods used to spread foreign and Western ideas and cultures are analyzed. The results of the study showed that: New media are considered one of the most important means of influencing cultural identity in the modern era on the ideas of young people. In addition, it enhances the cultural identity of peoples and openness to other cultures in addition to increasing the level of awareness of University Student, but it also enhances cultural invasion if it is not dealt with in smart ways and through the shared responsibility of individuals. This study emphasizes the importance of understanding the balance between the benefit of the media as a tool for cultural communication and openness to other cultures and communication and strengthening cultural identity in order to confront the methods and ways of cultural and intellectual invasion of University Students.
