Conventional electronic health record (EHR) systems centralize patient data, which can reduce patient autonomy, increase security risks, and complicate the flow of information between healthcare providers. This research introduces MediBuddy, a decentralized EHR system utilizing blockchain technology, interoperable protocols, and artificial intelligence (AI) to empower patients with greater control over their medical data. By enhancing data security and accessibility, MediBuddy facilitates direct communication between patients and healthcare providers. This paper details the architecture of MediBuddy, its initial user testing, and the challenges encountered during development.

摘要

Conventional electronic health record (EHR) systems centralize patient data, which can reduce patient autonomy, increase security risks, and complicate the flow of information between healthcare providers. This research introduces MediBuddy, a decentralized EHR system utilizing blockchain technology, interoperable protocols, and artificial intelligence (AI) to empower patients with greater control over their medical data. By enhancing data security and accessibility, MediBuddy facilitates direct communication between patients and healthcare providers. This paper details the architecture of MediBuddy, its initial user testing, and the challenges encountered during development.
