The study we present is a detailed bibliometric analysis of Green Bonds research from around the globe, based on the Scopus database. Green bonds have emerged as a critical financial instrument to address environmental challenges and finance sustainable initiatives. The development of Green Bonds literature over time and its main focus areas were identified through the use of bibliometric techniques in this study. The scholarly papers were mainly extracted from the Scopus database, so that they could guarantee full and precise reorientation of the field. The researchers analyzed 396 papers published between 1999 and 2023 that were field in the Scopus database. The present study used network efficiency seeking data in the global scientific output database of Scopus to perform a bibliometric analysis and explore the international research collaboration patters with a variety of bibliometric variables through mining, detection. Different bibliometric variables were explored using data mining and analysis to map the network of research collaboration, ascertain prolific authors as well as institutions, and impact of research. The analysis reveals an impressive yearly compound growth rate of recent publications amounting to an approximate exponential increase at 21.82% annually. The results of this analysis will illustrate the regions with the highest interest and participation in the field, based on which research subjects within Green Bonds will be most relevant and where research contributions are geographically distributed. The evidence from this study may also be useful for policy-makers, practitioners and researchers to trigger early patters and focus their effort on implementations of Green Bonds as a financing tool for sustainable development at the global level.
