Turnover Intention in the Hospitality Industry: A Bibliometric Analysis

This research examines trends in turnover intentions within the hospitality industry from 2014 to July 2024 by utilizing data retrieved from the Scopus online database. Publications related to turnover intentions among hospitality personnel were identified and screened from the Scopus database. Keyword occurrences were analyzed using VOSviewer. The findings indicate a rising trend in the disclosure of intentions to quit, with 2024 recording the highest number of disclosures. The most cited article is “ Hotel employee’s artificial intelligence and robotics awareness and its impact on turnover intention: The moderating roles of perceived organizational support and competitive psychological climate” (Li, Bonn and Ye, 2019). The author with the most publications is Karatepe. The bibliometric analysis article offers valuable guidance for researchers interested in the turnover intentions of hotel industry personnel, providing insights into key articles, prominent authors, frequently used keywords, and leading countries in this area of research.
