摘要
The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is a significant quantitative multi-criteria analysis method used to rationalize decisions. It is known for its efficiency and accuracy and is applied in various fields. Therefore, the research aims to use the AHP to improve management accountants’ role in making investment decisions, adapting to technological advancements, and addressing irrelevant information. To accomplish this, a Case Study was conducted on the Tex-tiles sector according to the EGX index for 2023. The researcher concluded that the best company to invest in considering the main objective and main sub-criteria is Alternative A7 Oriental Weavers Company, with a percentage of 23.1%, and Alternative A1 by Golden Tex Company comes in last place with a rate of 9.6% This alternative represents the worst alternative that decision-makers can choose. By applying sensitivity analysis, we find Alternative A7 Oriental Weavers Company remains the best investment decision. At the end of this research, the researcher recommended that companies use this proposed method to improve the role of the management accountant by providing relevant information to rationalize the decisions and provide the best possible alternative to improve the quality and efficiency of the decision.
