Entrepreneurship’s perception has changed over the years. In recent years, it has been considered one of the economic indicators crucial in encouraging development and innovation. Taking this into consideration, it is worth noting that the development of entrepreneurial knowledge at a younger age can propel future generations of entrepreneurs and innovators, propelling the nation’s economy. In the context of education, the Monopoly board game can be an effective educational tool to provide students at a younger age with foundational knowledge of management skills, finances, risk management, and critical thinking. The game Monopoly presents a real-life understanding of the basic concepts of economics, which is an aspect of a business course in higher years. This study presents a systematic review following the PRISMA guidelines to evaluate literature in this field dating from 1990 to 2023. This paper’s coverage includes databases from PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar. Overall, a total of 15 studies were included, where the primary focus was on the impact of the game on children aged 6 to 18 in relation to entrepreneurial development. The results reveal that playing Monopoly regularly motivates unconscious continuous training where the child learns concepts like money management, strategy formulation, and taking risks, among other skills that are important to consider when becoming an entrepreneur. The paper also highlights the advantages of the integration of the monopoly into the educational system. Suggestions about future studies are made, including longitudinal studies, which will look at how overtime game exposure affects the adults in the career they choose.
