Strategic risk management for anticipation and mitigation of possible threats that are expected to affect important business processes significantly, is one of the most vital elements in implementing such a transformation successfully. The paper analyses the methods of risk assessment, and its inclusion in business planning to increase the efficiency and precision of project management. This paper aims to investigate contemporary risk management methodologies in the context of vast transformative projects, and will consider impact these methodologies bear on generation of business plans. This way, you learn what strategic risk management entails in terms of cost reduction and better resource planning, all of which can lead to improved project performance as a whole. For example, successful transformation processes with a risk management methodology have taken place in the largest companies – Roshen, Ukrenergo, MHP.
