This study examined the influence of psychological capital (PsyCap) on the job performance of Generation Z (Gen Z) employees. Psychological capital, also known as PsyCap, consists of hope, self-efficacy, resilience, and optimism and has been proven to significantly impact job performance among different groups of people. Nevertheless, Gen Z’s distinct attributes and professional attitudes require customised analysis. The model seeks to elucidate the impact of Gen Z’s distinctive attributes, including their adeptness with digital technology, sense of social accountability, and emphasis on achieving harmonious work-life normalcy, on the successful application of PsyCap. This was accomplished by thoroughly examining existing scholarly works and conducting practical experiments. The results are anticipated to offer valuable insights into organisational initiatives focused on improving job performance and employee retention among Gen Z workers, ultimately leading to a more efficient and committed workforce. The suggested conceptual framework has substantial potential to improve future academic pursuits.
