A Study on Behavioral Intention to Adopt Digital Payment System

The recent pandemic of COVID-19 has impacted people worldwide and has had both a detrimental and a good impact on specific industries. Consumers are rapidly adopting digital payments, while businesses are transforming into digital entities. The objective of this research is to investigate the variables that impact the intention to a digital payment system in Malaysia. The data for this study was collected via an online and f2f survey. A total of 301 respondents participated. The data was analysed using the multiple regression model and the Pearson correlation test. This study shows that the decision to embrace digital payment systems is significantly influenced by perceived security, perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness. This study contributes valuable information to digital payment providers, policymakers and other related parties.
