Moderating Effect of Economic Value Added (EVA) on Bank Profitability and Stock Market
摘要
The purpose of this research is to investigate whether EVA can be implemented in moderating the assessment of profitability towards the company’s market value so that it can be used by investors in making investment decisions in the future. By using the EVIEWS application, this objective can be achieved through a financial analysis using bank financial reports sourced from the Indonesia Stock Exchange between 2017 and 2022. Through the Moderate Regression Analysis (MRA), the relationship shows that ROI and ROE have a significant relationship with the stock market, while ROA does not. The role of EVA as a moderating variable is only strong for ROE and the stock market, while for ROI and ROA, its influence is weak. This article provides valuable information for investors in making investment decisions, especially in banking stocks, through the analysis of the financial performance of banks and the stock market. Financial data of the banking industry can assist researchers and investors in making appropriate investment decisions.
