This paper is to investigate the relationships among the female entrepreneurs in North Sumatera, Indonesia, between their motivation, entrepreneurial competences, family involvement, and entrepreneurial activities. Regardless of their degree of entrepreneurial ability, women entrepreneurs always face the difficulty of balancing job and family responsibilities as well as the lack of access to required resources. We will test the data and show the impact of these elements on the degree of women’s entrepreneurial engagement using structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) in line with a thorough and diverse research. The projected results are probably going to offer significant new perspectives on policy development and initiatives meant to empower women economically and support more general socioeconomic development.
