Influencing Factors on E-Payment Adoption Among Elderly: An Initial Framework

The rise of digital payment platforms that align with technological advancement has shown a dramatic usage pattern for e-payment. However, the adoption of this innovation is unfavorable among the elderly. The purpose of this paper is to identify the factors influencing the engagement of the elderly and e-payment innovation. The study uncovered factors such as perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived trust, and subjective norms through a systematic literature review. Via the initial model proposed, the study is contributing by shedding light on the driving factors for engaging in e-payment among the elderly.
