Profusing involves the uncensored generation of abundant possibilities without immediate judgment or filtering. Moving beyond traditional brainstorming, this chapter explores free association, divergent thinking, and the cultivation of cognitive abundance. It addresses the psychological and social obstacles to generative thinking while providing practical frameworks for individual and collective ideation that preserves diversity and encourages novel combinations across disciplines and domains.
