Marketing and Entrepreneurship Education Under the Umbrella of Technology and Sustainability: Çağ University Virtual Campus Case
摘要
Çağ University, a Communicating Signatory member of Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), utilizes a broad range of advanced information and communication technologies (ICT) to address the varied learning requirements of students globally. The university has launched a virtual campus on the metaverse platform, Second Life. Courses such as Meta Entrepreneurship, International Student Project, and Marketing and Sustainability are available for students, lecturers, and guests from abroad to engage in on the Second Life platform. The courses aim to teach effective teamwork, manage cultural differences, and stay up to date with technological advances. Courses involve sustainability-focused content in classes and projects held by students. Despite the increasing interest in technology-enhanced learning, current research provides limited proof on the usefulness of using metaverse platforms for experiential learning, which can overcome traditional learning challenges. This study expands the existing literature by providing explicit examples of how technology could be utilized in education along with sharing relevant outcomes.
