Driven by GreenMetric’s guidelines, the university has adopted best practices emphasizing ecological conservation, efficient energy use, and an inclusive, sustainable curriculum. Among the university’s notable achievements is its energy-efficient campus infrastructure, enhanced by the installation of solar panels and green spaces that actively counter urban heat. A comprehensive waste management system, compost production, and zero waste practices prioritize recycling and waste reduction, exemplifying responsible resource utilization. Transportation initiatives encourage eco-friendly modes, like cycling, and promote shared commuting. Moreover, its curriculum has been enriched to foster sustainability literacy among students, ensuring future generations are equipped to address global challenges. From the university’s experience, the extensive lesson for higher education is clear: integrating sustainability is not merely a commitment but an imperative.
