Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR): Curriculum and Teacher Training
摘要
Bringing together Eastern contemplative practices and Western science, the MBSR curriculum offers a rigorous, systematic group training in mindfulness meditation skills as a way to increase awareness of thoughts, emotions, and body sensations and cultivate inner capacities for relating more skillfully to our lives. The curriculum weaves contemplative practice with salient research to support participants’ unfolding experience. MBSR teacher training focuses as much on “the person of the teacher” as content or knowledge. Requirements for personal mindfulness practice, including meditation retreats, point to the value of mindfulness as an impactful training for both teacher and the patient/client populations they serve.
