Tourism is considered as one of the critical economic activities worldwide. In that field also today, female entrepreneurs consider being the driving force of economies. In United Europe many governments try to promote female engagement to cover the gender gap. The position of women in the business in every year is having the biggest influence at a global level. According to Leisure Travel Group, an estimated 33 percent of all travel companies are owned by women and about 70% of employees in the travel business are women as well. Combine that with studies showing that female entrepreneurs are better at seeing gaps in the market, creating innovative products, and using technology in their businesses. The European Union provide women with gender inequality, in both cases to be an entrepreneur and delivered the proper quality of products and services and give the same services that target women. The objective was to identify the entrepreneurship in tourism industry led by women in different countries located in EU. The main goal of the paper will be to show the women companies in different tourism sectors. The final aim of this research is to provide different recommendations to be taken into consideration by the policymakers to improve the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the EU.
