Traffic congestion poses a significant problem that individuals encounter daily. Major cities often experience this issue on their roadways. This paper aims to examine how traffic congestion in a cosmopolitan city like Bengaluru negatively impacts the productivity of working professionals. Additionally, it explores how traffic contributes to disinterest in staying in the city, environmental harm, and its consequences. This paper seeks to offer solutions to these common challenges faced by individuals by promoting more accessible public transportation, decreasing the reliance on personal vehicles, and encouraging the adoption of electric vehicles to reduce harmful emissions from motor vehicles. It also advocates for the government to implement effective measures for improved city planning and to provide employees with flexible working hours to help prevent them from becoming stuck in traffic and wasting valuable time.
