In this chapter we move away from the pictorial representations, and we ask more fundamental questions on the nature of geometry, its axiomatic description, and in fact the many geometries that one might envision. A significant portion of the chapter is dedicated to non-Euclidean geometries, and how projective geometry acts as a container for all of them.
