Technological Innovation in International Business: The Role of Organizational Culture
摘要
Technological innovation is a key driver of competitiveness and growth in international business, requiring organizations to continually adapt to new technologies. However, while technological advances are essential, their successful implementation depends on many factors, one of which requires further investigation is organizational culture. This study examines the impact of organizational culture on technological innovation in international business using the Competing Values Framework (CVF). A survey of executives from Greek and Cypriot firms assessed cultural orientation and innovation types (incremental, radical, product, and process). The results show that hierarchical cultures significantly hinder innovation, while no significant effects were found for clan, adhocracy, or market-oriented cultures. These findings offer managerial insights for fostering a culture that supports technological advancement in global markets.
