The Treatment of Privacy and Personal Data Protection in Engineering Ethics Education in Japan: A Legal Perspective

By analyzing three of the latest textbooks that bear the title Engineering Ethics, I aim to examine how the education on privacy and personal data protection—an aspect that must be considered from the perspective of personality rights law—is addressed. This is particularly relevant in the context of this conference, which focuses on the ethics of AI, robotics, and CAs, where the relationship between learning data and legal frameworks is a fundamental issue.
