This study developed an automated rake toothed robotic arm to meet the automation assembly requirements of grid cleaning machines, aiming to solve the labor-intensive and error rate problems in traditional assembly processes. Designed using Solidworks software, this robotic arm is suitable for the rake tooth assembly of a three-rope grid machine. The structural design of the robotic arm considers stability and cost-effectiveness, and the control system uses Siemens S7–1200 PLC combined with a touch screen to ensure ease of operation and real-time monitoring. After virtual assembly and motion simulation verification, the robotic arm has demonstrated good operational performance and interference free assembly process.
