This chapter presents the objective of this book—PPCP theory. It provides context on how PPCP was created. A visualisation of PPCP is also included. This is followed by the main focus of the chapter which is the explanation of the theory through its four components—people, place, compassion and power. Examples are provided with each of these components for clarification and suggested activity purposes. The chapter concludes with a summary of how PPCP relates to the PTAs given in Chapter 2 .
