This chapter outlines the variety of contexts in which EAP takes place. These contexts are physical, content, construct and demographic with further subdivisions within. Each of these contexts demonstrate EAP’s growth around the world, across disciplinary fields and methods of delivery. Each of these contexts have the potential to influence the type of EAP pedagogy that is delivered. It is therefore important to take these into account when considering the use of humanistic processes in EAP pedagogy.
