Surgical Approaches for Primary Total Knee Arthroplasty
摘要
The surgical approach to the knee was originally a medial parapatellar technique that made visualization easier and allowed excellent exposure of the joint. For many years this was the standard for TKA. Follow up studies did show that there were some problems related to the patellar tracking and the quadriceps tendon. Multiple modifications were suggested over the past 50 years to improve the clinical symptoms without leading to complications related to a more limited access to the joint.
