This chapter concludes the book. The chapter draws from the discussion from previous chapters to make logical conclusions and recommendations. The chapter concludes that the construction industry globally is characterised by poor project delivery, resulting from several issues, including the slow adoption of emerging digital technologies. As a result, there has been a clamour for deploying emerging technologies to deliver construction projects. Digital technologies such as Building Information Modelling, the Internet of Things, Big Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, automation and robotics, among others, offer the construction industry an opportunity to solve its age-long problem of poor project delivery and an opportunity for sustainable delivery of the industry’s projects. However, deploying emerging technologies in construction comes with ethical challenges, which, if not adequately addressed, can lead to severe unethical issues and dire implications. Conversely, the issue of ethical practices in deploying technologies, particularly in the construction industry, has received very little attention. To fill this knowledge gap, this book conceptualised a four-construct digitalisation and six ethical consideration frameworks designed to offer sustainable construction digitalisation, better competitiveness, increased innovativeness, and the opportunity to become a digital disruptor, among other benefits.
