This book was designed to guide the ethical use of emerging digital technologies for sustainable construction digitalisation. To this end, this chapter, through the review of existing frameworks on digitalisation and ethics in technology, presents a conceptualised ethical practice framework for sustainable construction digitalisation. The chapter theorises that for sustainable construction digitalisation to be achieved, the technology, people, process, and strategy dimensions of digitalisation must be rooted in six ethical considerations, vis, accountability, equity and fairness, privacy, safety and security, sustainability, and transparency. By infusing these ethical considerations into digitalisation, construction organisations can effectively and ethically utilise their digital technologies and processes to develop new business models and more sustainable service delivery.

摘要
