Food system is a highly complex topic; food scientists, local farmers, food manufacturers, private sector and governments regularly gather for decisive decisions to be dictated in terms of food security and achieving sustainable diet goals. However, food system is interconnected, here is the major conundrum of Sustainable Diet within Global food system. This Chapter deals with Sustainable Diet Notions, tackling food waste and agro-waste, understanding different supply chains in the food system and how circular economy should be effectively applied. All are introduced with evidence-based innovative idea from multi-disciplinary and circular-economy approaches, to upcycle agro waste and household waste.
