One of the main causes to multifocal intraocular lenses failure is the lack of neuroadaptation. Though little is known about its mechanism, there is no doubt that neuroadaptation plays a crucial role in patients’ satisfaction. We describe what is neuroadaptation and some possible ways to induce it. There is ongoing research on this subject, and we do hope to know more about neuroadaptation and how to tackle this problem.
