With the launch of AT ELANA 841P, ZEISS has introduced a new trifocal IOL that combines two sophisticated Zeiss technologies: the trifocal optic of AT LISA tri 839MP and the hydrophobic C-loop platform of CT LUCIA 621P. In an ongoing case series of ten patients bilaterally implanted with AT ELANA, corrected and uncorrected distance, intermediate and near visual acuity were assessed. The defocus curve and patient satisfaction (Catquest 9SF questionnaire) were also assessed. The first clinical results with AT ELANA are very satisfactory at distance, intermediate and near. It is delivered as a truly fully preloaded IOL; the injector is very smooth and fits through a 2.2 mm incision using the docking technique.
