Multifocal and EDOF Intraocular Lenses in Previously Operated Corneas (Refractive Surgery and Corneal Graft)
摘要
Despite surgeons’ efforts in refractive surgeries and multifocal lenses, cataract surgeries are aimed to achieve multifocality and freedom from spectacles; the result is not always emmetropia and multifocality. In a “nutshell”—there are two possible conditions in which correction is needed: refractive error after multifocal intraocular cataract surgery that can be corrected by corneal laser treatment, or refractive error post corneal laser treatment that should be corrected by a cataract surgery. In any of these cases, there are different issues to take into consideration—we describe these issues and provide some ways to tackle them.
