This chapter presents morphometrical and morphological data of dorsal guard hairs of the Canadian mammals. These data were obtained from the mammal collections of the Canadian Museum of Nature and the Royal Ontario Museum. Table 7.1 presents morphometrics that consist of the average length, width, and medullary index with their respective standard deviation. The sample size is also indicated. Table 7.2 presents the morphology consistently observed on the same hairs used for morphometry. These characteristics were used to build the identification key presented in Chap. 5.
