Today, the handicrafts company suffers at the level of production management. In this sense, it is very important to put in place tools effective enough to increase productivity and performance of the handicraft sector. Lean manufacturing is an approach which was a great success. It is a discipline that has been very successful in mass industrial units. It is increasingly used and applied in most industrial sites. The adaptation of lean manufacturing and its tools within the Moroccan craft industry remains a very important step to increase productivity, improve quality, reduce costs and improve performance. This paper aims to explore how lean manufacturing principles can be effectively integrated into artisanal structures by considering their unique constraints, such as small batch production, manual processes, and traditional know-how. Through a methodological review and a contextualized model proposal, we demonstrate that lean tools, when adapted to the artisanal context, can foster sustainable growth and competitiveness. The results highlight the need for training, appropriate tool selection, and progressive implementation in order to ensure successful lean integration within handicraft enterprises.
