This final section discusses the novel conceptual framework that emerges from the analysis developed throughout this book: predictive epistemology, a lens through which to understand how scientific theories evolve in response to growing complexity. Grounded in concepts such as (parametric) effective complexity and bifurcation theory, the analysis links discontinuous changes in system behavior to epistemological thresholds. When a theory requires increasingly elaborate auxiliary structures to accommodate new data, this may signal the onset of a paradigm shift. In this context, emergence is not merely a descriptive feature but a predictive indicator of theoretical exhaustion. Scientific progress, thus understood, depends on our ability to detect and respond to these complexity-driven transitions through more coherent and efficient models.
