The human population is constantly growing, generating the need for more resilient, safe, and sufficient food systems in response to new demands. When analysing this growth as a system, in terms of production systems, its complexity seems simple. However, from a global point of view, when looking at the relationships of dependence between human societies with their cultural identity, natural ecosystems, and the impact of actions due to certain technical and technological (anthropogenic) developments, they do not become linear. The objective of this study is to design a causal model with the purpose of understanding the integration of the maize agro-productive system, from the dimension of food security, based on systemic thinking. This research is based on a qualitative and descriptive approach, with a systemic-transdisciplinary character, considering the dynamics and complexity of the system under study. The result allows understanding the integration of variables to create holistic and complex knowledge, useful for decision making within the active relationship from the dimension of food security, facing the agri-food and productive processes.

摘要
