Enhancing Security and Perceptual Quality in LSB-Based Image Steganography
摘要
This paper introduces a new and improved technique for hiding confidential information within images using the Least Significant Bit (LSB) methodology. The approach enhances existing methods by incorporating a secret key that determines varying positions for embedding data, ensuring greater security. Unlike traditional LSB techniques, this dynamic approach makes it significantly harder for unauthorised users to extract hidden content without the correct key. We checked how well the method works by using PSNR and SSIM, two standard tools for judging image quality. The results indicate minimal distortion and high perceptual quality in the stegano images. This approach offers superior security and better image quality than conventional LSB techniques, providing a robust and reliable solution for securely embedding data in images.
