Emerging Countries in Africa and Wage Dynamics
摘要
The ascension of countries such as the BRIC group represents a visible manifestation of a novel phenomenon linked to the emergence of the South. This chapter elucidates the dynamics of economic growth, diversification of the economic structure, local institutional configurations and procedures for inclusion within the global economy, which are the defining characteristics of a set of African countries including South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Egypt, Ethiopia and Morocco (AKNEEM). We consider their dynamics of economic, demographic, employment and wage growth.
