This article discusses the use of natural dyes made from plants containing coloring agents in the Kyrgyz carpet weaving craft of the late 19th and early twentieth centuries. Utilizing pigments produced from plant roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruits, seeds, and wood. The Kyrgyz mastered the process of dyeing with pigments obtained from the roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruits, seeds and wood of plants. To ensure the quality of natural dyes, it was necessary to follow the rules for collecting plants and drying them. However, the flowers were harvested either before or after they started to bloom from which the dye pigments were extracted. In addition to describing some dye plants growing in Kyrgyzstan, and it also considers the features of their distribution in the territory of our republic.

This article discusses the use of natural dyes made from plants containing coloring agents in the Kyrgyz carpet weaving craft of the late 19th and early twentieth centuries.
