Regulation of Learning: Cognition, Motivation and Emotion
摘要
This chapter highlights the role of self-regulated learning (SRL) skills in hybrid learning contexts. Grounded in self-regulated learning theories, the chapter begins by defining the theoretical foundations for the different types of regulation—self-regulation, co-regulation, and socially shared regulation—emphasizing their significance in managing learning across physical, social, and virtual settings from both cognitive and motivational-emotional perspectives. It then discusses how the pedagogical context shapes the need for regulated learning processes in hybrid settings. By describing the interplay between SRL and the unique contextual factors of hybrid learning, this chapter provides insights into optimizing regulated learning strategies for these situations. By doing so, it emphasizes the importance of adapting SRL strategies to the specific challenges and opportunities presented by hybrid learning, suggesting that effective regulation is key to navigating and succeeding in diverse learning environments.
