Hybrid Classroom Scenarios and Academic Teaching Spaces
摘要
This final chapter presents various configurations of hybrid learning settings in higher educational institutions, which can enhance learning experiences for both remote and in-person students in either synchronous or asynchronous teaching modes. By examining different classroom setups and their possible unique pedagogical advantages and challenges, the chapter aims to guide educational professionals in implementing educational innovations that extend the boundaries of traditional and digital education. The chapter provides guidelines for preparing a hybrid classroom thereby applying industry standards to help selecting the technological setups such as room layouts, screen sizes, viewing directions, lighting, and sound. The chapter provides insights into the potential of hybrid education, demonstrating that the requisite technologies are already available to support the development of inclusive and adaptive hybrid learning settings that address today’s diverse educational needs.
