Psychiatric Aspect and Psychopharmacologic Treatment of Hyperemesis Gravidarum

Hyperemesis gravidarum, a clinical representation much more severe than nausea and vomiting of pregnancy, mostly causing dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, and malnutrition; unfortunately increasing the risk of miscarriages, of low-birth-weight babies, and preterm births. Besides various aspects of treatment it is crucial to understand its complexity, and multidisciplinary aspects must take place especially including psychiatry professionals.
