This chapter includes structural and functional characteristics, virulence factors of Chlamydia spp., and interaction of Chlamydia with host cells. Basing upon author’s own data are presented functional state of the immune system in patients with various forms of chronic urogenital chlamydial infection and results of correlation analysis of immunological parameters in patients with localized and widespread forms of urogenital chlamydiosis.

摘要

This chapter includes structural and functional characteristics, virulence factors of Chlamydia spp., and interaction of Chlamydia with host cells.
