Anticancer Potential of Phenolic Acids
摘要
This chapter presents a comprehensive review of the potential of phenolic acids as natural compounds endowed with anticancer properties. Diverse mechanisms through which phenolic acids manifest their anticancer effects are presented, encompassing their antioxidant activity and the modulation of oxidative stress-related pathways. Strategies to enhance their effectiveness are discussed, along with exploring the potential role of phenolic acids in alleviating the side effects associated with conventional cancer treatments. The discourse underscores the significance of integrating experimental and computational approaches for a comprehensive validation of the anticancer properties of phenolic acids and their derivatives. Furthermore, this work emphasizes the imperative for further research to bridge the existing gap between promising results and practical clinical applications. In sum, this document highlights the potential of phenolic acids as natural compounds with anticancer properties, emphasizing the critical importance of ongoing research efforts to understand their therapeutic potential fully.
