Nowadays, digital transformation is becoming an integral part of industrial development, requiring relevant and comprehensive analysis. This article examines various aspects of the digital transformation of industry. The purpose of this study is to analyze the features of the digital transformation of industrial enterprises and identify the opportunities and challenges associated with the digitalization of the industrial sector. The main approaches to the study were collecting, studying and analyzing scientific papers of domestic and foreign researchers devoted to this topic, studying modern digital technologies used in industry, conducting a comparative analysis of methods for modeling complex production process control systems. The sources used in the work represent a variety of studies by Russian and foreign scientists providing a comprehensive overview of this topic. It can be concluded that the digital transformation of industry is a priority development area that can positively affect not only the manufacturing sector, but also the country’s economy as a whole.
