Digital technologies transform student entrepreneurship and open new opportunities for project implementation. This work analyses the data of a survey among students of Samara State University of Economics regarding the use of digital technologies in the creation of entrepreneurial projects. The study of the role of artificial intelligence in project development allowed the authors to identify problems faced by students at different stages of work: from conceptualization to forecasting economic results. The findings indicate that along with analyzing the legal and regulatory framework and developing a financial plan, the process of developing an idea is the most difficult stage of project activity. To what extent are students able to neutralizing problematic stages of work using digital technology? Assuming that artificial intelligence is designed to optimize each stage of project work, the results of a questionnaire among 2nd-4th year students showed which internet platforms and neural networks are most preferable for project work. Analysis of the data from the survey of teachers supervising student projects allows us to conclude that the majority of teachers approve of the use of neural networks at certain stages, in particular, visualization, organization and structuring of information. So, in the context of the analysis, universities are able to act as key stakeholders in the implementation of entrepreneurial projects, creating conditions for the generation of ideas and the launch of student business projects.
