The work is devoted to the study of the possibilities of introducing artificial intelligence (AI) into the educational process of students engaged in research work. The advantages and limitations of using AI tools in the preparation of scientific articles, data analysis and creation of visualizations of research results are considered. Modern machine learning technologies and natural language processing methods used by students to improve the quality of analysis and presentation of research materials are described. The need to develop students’ competencies in the field of digital literacy and the ethical use of intelligent assistants is emphasized. The research is based on the results of a survey among Russian universities studying the experience of using AI technologies in educational institutions of Russia. Recommendations are received for improving educational programs, including the use of digital platforms and services that ensure the effective use of AI tools in research by students of various specialties.
